Tom Murphy came through in a very difficult time in our life. On top of other personal, very emotional hardships we were enduring, we had a house fire that destroyed and damaged a good portion of our house. I have known Tom Murphy both personally and professionally for nearly twenty years. My wife and I bought our house from him in 1997 in Millbury, MA. Tom was always up front and honest with us. In fact, I recall him disclosing to us our fireplace was a few inches off center in our living room. It was impossible to spot in a room with a 22 foot span but Tom brought it up. It was then I realized he was different than most contractors with a special attention to detail and satisfying his customer. In the fall of 2010 we decided to “gut” our kitchen and finish it with high end appliances and cabinetry, including converting a small room to a butler’s pantry. The only person I would trust in doing it was Tom. My wife and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Tom again was exceptional to detail, coordinating subcontract work and keeping the project on target. From start to finish, the project took approximately 90 days and it turned out beautifully. If tasked with another project or in making professional recommendations to others (which I have on several occasions) Tom Murphy is the best. I would be more than happy to talk to anyone about Tom and personally show them our house and/or kitchen.
